Some brands have partnered with non-governmental organizations, such as the Give India Foundation, the Hemkunt Foundation, to assist the country, contributing directly to the Citizens’ Assistance and Emergency Care Fund [PM CARES].

Krafton

PUBG Mobile of Krafton has extended a handful of support to combat India’s deadly Coronavirus. A substantial amount of Rs 1.5 Crores was donated to the PM CARES Fund by the Indian subsidiary of Krafton. The Krafton Indian subsidiary is registered under ‘PUBG India Pvt. Ltd.’ and is committed to assisting India to monitor its current caseload. This contribution is made directly to the PM CARES Fund used for patient treatment and the promotion of vaccination in India. When talking about the large donation, Krafton Changhan Kim’s CEO said, “India is going through the new COVID-19 wave a tough time. We continue to support the Government’s efforts to combat this never-ending crisis. We hope that our donation to the PM CARES Fund will contribute to the support activities already on the field.”

PokerBaazi

In partnership with GiveIndia, PokerBaazi helped reduce the oxygen shortage in India. PokerBaazi organized a tournament called the O2 campaign to help millions of Indians combat the ongoing pandemic and promises to donate 100 percent of the tournament charges to the NGO to supply oxygen cylinders. In addition, PokerBaazi has presented a video message to celebrate the turn of this tournament in tribute to all the frontlines, fighters, and corporations that have taken steps in the interests of humanity. The video describes the similarity that people aspire to win with the life of poker.

BLITZPOOLS

BLITZPOOLS Fantasy also aims to do the same by collecting funds for each team entered into their COVID-19 relief group with the support of users of BLITZPOOLS by donations of money. The brand supports fantasy players by building free pool teams that would be called ‘COVID19 Relief.’ When the founders of BLITZPOOLS, the Assomull brothers, Vickram and Gaurav, spoke about a new project, “It’s a tough moment for our country, and we are all united in that. This pandemic must be combated as a team. With its assistance, we aim to achieve our mission of helping the region; our users are an integral part of the Blitzpool family. Logitech CEO Bracken Darrell has shown us that he contributes $2 million to Indian oxygen relief In certain areas globally, such as Europe and North America, despite the COVID crisis relaxing. In several nations, including India, the situation continues to deteriorate, with the sick and deceased in hospitals and crematory institutions. The official LinkedIn post of Darrell revealed says, “India is currently the worst surge in coronavirus cases in the world. The nation currently struggles with nearly half a million active incidents, including the hit worst among the states of Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh. In most of the world, the health care system is plagued every day by thousands of new cases and deaths in the country. Oxygen is needed for people to be able to survive and for others to get worse. “We, Logitech, are donating $2 million to help India’s oxygen by making our greatest one-time contribution in history. Oxygen works for India to provide oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators for the most vulnerable through the Center for Disease Dynamic, Economics & Policy (CDDEP), United Airlines, Tech Mahindra, etc. I hope that other firms and people will also donate.”

Dream11

Dream 11 contributed Rs 15 Cr to GiveIndia and ACT grants Foundations (one million each) to assist with relief efforts. “The existing issue of providing emergency supplies and hospital beds will be resolved half of this and the other half will enable large-scale vaccine operations. Soon, we will also allow the Dream11 app for donations so that all sportspeople (our staff), the 10 Crore+ users, and everyone else can participate and accelerate the battle against Covid-19,” the company announced in a public statement.

OpraahFx

In cooperation with Youtubers Slayy Point and Mythpat- OpraahFX, an influential marketer, and its gaming sub0-rand OP Gaming have raised COVID relief Rs 50 Lakhs+ by taking Indian gamers and influencers together. On 25 April, a live YouTube 7.5 hour stream was telecasted with 35+ Indian influencers. The funds collected by activities were passed on to the Hemkunt Foundation, supporting the country’s oxygen supply to COVID patients. The Slayy Point YouTube live stream was hosted by Techno Gamerz, Kusha Kapila, Techno Guruji, Salonayy, Total Gaming, Ashish Chanchlani, Mythpat, Carry Minati, Viraj Ghelani, Abish Mathew, Ankush Bahuguna, BeYouNick, Tanmay Bhatt, Ranveer Allahbadia, Dolly Singh, and others. The event received overall views of 10M+ and a corresponding viewership of 200k. During the live broadcast, the influencers played video sports, raised awareness of the pandemic. From Changi Airport in Singapore, Razer Singapore has sent four cryogenic oxygen containers onboard Indian Air Force aircraft, which actually attract many Indians. Min-Liang-Tan, CEO of Razer and founder He questioned in a tweet if India required surgical masks and said, “Are surgical masks in need? I will see if we have any to give to India from our production factory in Singapore.” The game peripheral company revealed last year that when the world becomes struck by the pandemic and experiences a huge scarcity of masks and PPE, it made one of its plants into facial masks.

Mobile Premier League

Mobile Premier League (MPL) teamed up with ‘Give India’ to organize the Covid Relief ‘Gamers for India’ Campaign.  The MPL’s Facebook and YouTube handles, interaction, and fundraising was brought together by the Indian game community as part of an initiative on 15 May 2021 at 7 pm. The live stream saw the participation of famous players like Kronten, Mortal, Scout, Regaltos, and 8Bit.
